About ThedaCare
ThedaCare™ is the largest healthcare provider and employer in Northeast Wisconsin with more than 6,100 employees at 43 sites, serving more than 250,000 unique patients in a 14-county area.

ThedaCare and the Center
In 2003, ThedaCare embarked on its journey to apply lean and the Toyota Production System (TPS) to healthcare. The result was the ThedaCare Improvement System (TIS) — an organization-wide quality improvement initiative.
ThedaCare exponentially reduced defects, improved patient outcomes, eliminated waste and removed tens of millions in costs without layoffs. This firsthand experience drives the ThedaCare Center to share these learning with other hospitals and health providers.
